Greetings and salutations.
Settling back into things nicely, thankyouverymuch. FINALLY got the videogame club off the ground, we had our first meeting on monday, and it all went pretty good. Not all the kids showed, which was just as well really as it was just a nice, manageable number who showed.
Gill from work heard me talkin about Takashi's castle (japanese gameshow on challenge tv) and very kindly filled a tape of it for me. I haven't laughed so hard in recent memory, Mo, you were right, it is indeed the best show around. I'll not bother explaining it as I will inevitably not do it justice, suffice to say though, that when the casual cruelty in the god-like takashi kitano meets the all-conquering enthusiam (gobshitery) of the great japanese public in a kind of deranged it's a knockout setup, the results must be seen to be believed. If you already have digital tv, then chances are you know what I'm on about. If not, get a friend to tape you some.
Aside from all that, not much has been afoot. Little cash and lots of good TV on DVD/Video to watch (I've still barely scratched the surface of my Seinfeld collection) make aido's life comfortable, if not very conducive to third-party interest, so I'll spare you.
I have got me hands on an awesome new game, though. Armoured core 3 its called, where you build a giant robot from thousands of different pieces, and thunder around landscapes and arenas making scrap metal out of other like minded individuals. Its fun, but the scope for customising and building the mechs from the ground up make it really engrossing too. Roll on AC4!
Ciao. Aido
